Panic Attack Medication: What Is Best For Me?

By Mike O’Brien If you are one of those living with panic attack symptoms, you know it can almost take over your life. Living with the fear that you will have to suffer through another period of grief, pain, and discomfort is sometimes enough to bring on a panic attack. When it comes to treating a panic attack, some medication have been known to significantly reduce the symptoms, enabling people to continue living a life that is not ruled by the fearful unknown. The following provides information about some of the most effective medications available to consumers. Alprazolam (al-PRAZ-zo-lam) This medication is one of the more common prescriptions for general anxiety treatment. It is a benzodiazepine, which is used to treat short term panic attack symptoms in many people every day. This medication is not meant to treat ongoing and daily forms of a panic attack, but is very useful to people who experience these symptoms periodically. Azapirones (a-zah-PIE-ronz) Azapirones is a drug which works on the central nervous system by relieving the many symptoms of anxiety. This drug can be found in many antidepressants and is the reason many people who normally would not take antidepressants do, because of their panic attack symptoms. It is used to calm the nervous system, putting it somewhat into sleep mode. Benzodiazepines (ben-zo-die-AZ-a-peens) This is a tranquil medication, used to help fight anxiety and insomnia. The drug is very potent, and a fear of becoming addicted to it is shared with both physicians and patients. For extreme cases of anxiety, this is the medication most commonly used, but its also something that can significantly alter your mood or personality if not used properly or for longer periods of time than prescribed. Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs) These are a newer type of anti-depressant introduced into the US in the 1980s beginning with Prozac. They work differently to traditional antidepressants and they do so by increasing and assisting the brain to maintain levels of the neurotransmitter serotonin which is often found to be low in people sufferering from depression, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and anxiety and panic disorders. Which Medication to Use The severity of the panic attack, will influence which medication a physician will prescribe for you. Remember that you should not determine which medication to use. It is essential to consult a doctor about what is best for you. Using someone else’s medicine may help your symptoms in the short term, but in the long run you need a solution for long term results. Taking someone else’s medicine for your undiagnosed panic attack would be considered as being very irresponsible. Because of the nature of the problem your doctor will probably prescribe more than one medication over a period of time so as to ascertain what is best for you. Using the least amount of medication to control your panic attack symptoms is the most beneficial, so most doctors will recommend starting with a low dosage and work their way up from there until the best solution is found. Mike O’Brien offers advice and information about panic attack medication. If you or a loved one is suffering from a panic attack you will find quality information in this article and on this site. Decisions on Appetizers and Cocktail Hours

By Amy Spade In order to have even more time to socialize or to give the married couple some time for pictures or quiet, the trend of cocktail hours has re-emerged. Of course, these arent the only reasons that you may want to contemplate a little fun before the actual start of the reception. For the wedding party After the rush of pictures and the excitement of the ceremony, a lot of the wedding party can become disheveled and unkempt. By giving them a little time to get freshened up, all of the reception pictures can be just as lovely as the ceremony ones. Of course, if the wedding party has to transport themselves to the reception hall, a cocktail hour can give them enough time to get there and get organized as well. They can put away anything that they brought with them to the hotel or to the ceremony, plus change into anything that they may have brought with themmore comfortable shoes, for example. A cocktail hour is a great new way to have a receiving line. The wedding party can meet and greet the guests as they arrive at the reception hall, even show them to their seats if theyd like. This way, the only thing that anyone is waiting on is the bride and groom. For out of town guests If you just couldnt schedule the wedding and the reception back to back, then you may be in luck with having a cocktail hour. When your guests are from out of town, they dont necessarily want to go back to their hotels before heading over for the reception, so they can have the option of going for light appetizers and cocktails. This also gives them the opportunity to mingle with everyone in a less intense setting. There wont be all the dancing and cake cutting, so it can be a lot calmer. Plus if the wedding was earlier, the guests are probably hungry, so youll be feeding them as well. And drinks can help to liven up any bunch of people. A cocktail hour is a great way to warm everyone up and get acquainted before the arrival of the couple and the start of the reception. And since youre feeding everyone a little something to begin with, you may also be able to have a less complicated dinner menuif youre on a budget. So if youre deciding on whether or not to have a cocktail hour, why not just do it? Its an inexpensive way to keep your guests from having grumbling stomachs. Easy Steps to Installing a Router Extension On Your Table Saw

By Johnathon S. Duvel Several companies sell router table extension wings. Woodpeckers Inc. is one of these companies. Using their versions of the router table extension wings as an example, you can see how easy it is to add this helpful addition to your table saw. In our example, you will install the router extension table on the left side of your table saw. Other models may require a different configuration, but the process will essentially be the same. Made of 1″ thick MDF laminated on both sides with a matte white high pressure laminate which brings the final thickness to 1 1/8th inches, the extension table is 21″x28″. The router extension table also has a white plastic edging. In this particular model, the mounting package includes four brackets to mount the router extension table wing to the rails, phenolic insert with four aluminum spacer rings, stiffener rails, hardware and instructions. Installing the extension table is easy enough that it should not take you more than an hour to finish. Step 1 Remove the left wing of your table saw. Step 2 After removing the existing table wing, you are going to mount the router table extension wing brackets to the rails per the instructions using the supplied T-nuts. Use the larger washers provided for this step. Put the T-nuts and washers together and slide four sets into the channel on both the front and back rails. You can then slip the brackets onto the hardware behind the washers. Step 3 Line the outer brackets up with the end of the rail and snug the nuts down but do not completely tighten them. The inner brackets should be positioned about 2″ from the saw table and also snugged down but not tightened. You do not want them completely tightened since they may have to be moved left or right to avoid interference with the stiffeners or to level the table. Step 4 The insert cutout is going to be off-centered in the table. Flip the table upside down on the brackets with the widest part of the insert offset to the left or outside of the saw. Put one stiffener bar about an inch from the left side of the table and drill pilot holes for the screws. A helpful hint is to use blue tape on the drill bit to set the depth of the holes to make sure that you go all the way through. After drilling the pilot holes, you can screw down the stiffener. Repeat this process for the other stiffener placing it about an inch or so to the outside of the left edge of the insert cutout. Step 5 If necessary, adjust the bracket or stiffener placements to avoid interference. After this is done, turn the table back over. Step 6 Next, you will attach the brackets to the bottom of the table. Drill a pilot hole first and secure each bracket with just one screw. Before finishing, make sure the brackets and stiffeners don’t interfere with each other and then finish the bracket installation. Step 7 Now, it is time to position the table and brackets. Using a rule, set the table level front and back to the saw’s table. Also check that the router extension table is flush up against the table saw. Step 8 If the table is not exactly flat or sags, loosen the middle screw on the stiffener and insert a spacer. The space could be a piece of card stock that is the size of the sag. Once the screw is tightened again. The spacer will make the table flat. Step 9 Now, it is time to put in the insert. The 3/8″ black phenolic insert sits on a rabbet in the MDF tabletop. To level the insert in the opening, it has 8 leveling setscrews. You can adjust each one a little bit at a time going back and forth between all the screws until the insert is level and stable. Step 10 This particular brand, Woodpecker, will pre-drill the mounting holes in the insert according to which router you tell them you will be mounting. Using the screws they provide, you now just mount your router to the insert on the router extension table. This is just one option for a router extension table. You particular table saw may have a specific router extension table sold as an accessory. Whether you buy yours from Woodpecker or as an accessory, attaching the router extension table will offer you convenience in your woodworking shop. Samsung Z320i – I-Mode Difference

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Adam_Jaylin]Adam Jaylin The usual looks of Samsung Z320i might not suggest what this device is up to and how significant its performance in UK mobile phone market will prove to be. i-mode browsers have become a cult of their own in Japan, the land of its inception, however all depends upon Samsung Z320i if one has to comment on the future of i-mode browsers in the UK. Technically superior, effectively faster and far more efficient, i-mode browsers certainly hold an edge over traditionally operated upon WAP browsers, so familiarity might play a critical role in the success or failure of Samsung Z320i. Apart from this, Samsung Z320i is a 3G mobile phone handset with a rather restrained set of features which is unlike the usual 3G handsets. An ordinary screen of 176 x 220 pixels, no provision for memory expansion and familiar looks do not seem to help Samsung Z320i’s cause a great deal. Add a talk time of up to 5 h and GSM Triband technology and you are up with a comprehensively ordinary set of technical features. But what makes Samsung Z320i a clincher is a rare combination of 3G technology and i-mode browser. The high speed data transfer/connectivity features of 3G help i-mode browser work as desired, making the processing speed while browsing the web more than satisfactory. Video calling is facilitated by a secondary VGA camera whereas the primary digital camera is 1.3 megapixels strong, again a standard inclusion. 120 MB shared memory does not find a way for expansion, however a judicious management of data storage should place a music lover comfortably in presence of MP3/AAC/AAC+ player. Carbohydrate Free Food: Is This The Real Secret To Losing Weight?

By Nathan T. Lynch Does maintaining a diet with no carbohydrates really help decrease weight? Since the early 1970s, several weight loss plans have supported avoiding or reducing carbohydrates, referred to as “carbs”, from our diets in varying quantities. Although these carb-conscious diets are embraced by some, they continue to raise questions for many. For example, it has been debated whether it is safe to limit carbohydrate intake, and whether this can be done in a healthy, sustainable way. Some carbohydrates are better or healthier than others. Another question raised is whether or not everyone should limit carbohydrates, and whether someone can eat a diet of natural foods while controlling carbohydrate consumption. Aside from the common theories on why low carb diets work, no agreement exists on what makes up the optimal reduced carbohydrate diet. Suggestions of the various diet plans recommend a range from 20 to 100 grams of carbohydrates daily, and few recommend no carbs at all, although this diet has been seen in Hollywood. Many of these diets advise restraining from the intake of carbs such as bread, rice, pasta, potatoes, and added sugars, but they differ in implementation and thorough directions. There are also no official guidelines on what foods should constitute a controlled carb diet, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has no formal classification of a low carbohydrate food. To put the resulting mystification into perspective, keep in mind that one-size-fits-all just doesn’t work when it comes to dieting. Nutrition choices should be individualized and depend upon genetics, lifestyle, activity levels, health status, and special needs. Some experimentation may be necessary to determine what works best for you. Some may find cutting back on carbohydrates is most favourable for their health, weight, and blood sugar levels, and they decide to limit their carb intake as part of an overall healthy lifestyle. With regards to low-carbohydrate diets you may well lose weight on this regimen because if you cut down on bread, pasta, rice, crisps and eat only meat, fish and vegetables you will tend to eat less overall. But you are likely to get bored with this diet and therefore slip or get too hungry as your diet will lack bulk. Furthermore, limiting carbohydrates causes the body to rely on fat or muscle for energy. This can create a by-product called ketones, causing fatigue and nausea. This is particularly dangerous for anyone with diabetes, heart or kidney problems. Yes, there is such thing as a healthy low-carb diet. The key is to not go overboard and throw out all the essential nutrients we need for health and optimum energy in pursuit of a low-carb eating plan. High-carb diets typically contain 50 to 60 percent of total calories from carbohydrate. A healthy low-carb plan will contain 40 to 45 percent of calories from carbohydrate. That way you keep the carbs that provide nutrition: fruit, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, milk and yogurt and decrease your use of simple carbs like sugar, candy, cookies, soda and snack foods. Fresh fish are high in protein and are often carbohydrate free. Shellfish generally contain some carbohydrates. Keep an eye out for prepared seafood products-like crab cakes or breaded fish-that may contain moderate amounts of carbohydrates. Protein-packed meat and poultry make up the bulk of many controlled carb diets. Try eating bacon, chicken, deli meats, duck, sausage, pork, lamb, rabbit, etc. Theres also no need to stay away from nature’s sweets. Keep in mind that high fibre content in certain fruits accounts for a sizable percentage of carbohydrates. Fibre is essential for the body and it is generally subtracted from total carbohydrates when determining “net carbs” the carbs thought to affect blood sugar and, therefore, weight loss. Even if you are adhering to a controlled carb diet, it is important to eat plenty of produce. Colourful vegetables provide fibre, vitamins, minerals, and numerous phytochemicals. The carbohydrate content of vegetables ranges greatly. Non-starchy, brightly coloured vegetables are a safe bet for those watching their carbs. Pluck Away – You’ll Raise Some Brows

By Terry Price With a little care, you can have beautiful and elegant looking eyebrows with just a little weekly or biweekly maintenance to keep them looking their best! Here are a few tips to help you with eyebrow maintenance. If you have long hairs it is perfectly okay to trim them with manicure scissors, as this is preferable over plucking. The best time to pluck your eyebrows is after you get out of the shower as your pores are open and it doesn’t sting quite as much. Remember not to pluck too many hairs as holes will appear in your brows. Remember to take a good look at the root area of the hair before you yank. One rule of thumb, especially if you have small delicate features, is to not over pluck your eyebrows as you want to remain as natural looking as possible. If you have an athletic build, delicate brows will just look plain silly. Keeping them thicker and well- manicured will go a long way, so use your best judgment. Well-shaped eyebrows are something you should strive for especially if you have small eyes. It is a great way to help you make a statement without the extra color around the eyes that will make them look even smaller. A lot of ladies enjoy having their eyebrows waxed. It is a good idea to find an expert in your local area and gain confidence in their abilities. Waxing can have some drawbacks, such as actually leading to in-grown hairs. A good way to get around the potential of ingrown hairs is to cleanse the brow area with a toner immediately after waxing, or when you arrive home, use cleansing grains to exfoliate the area so that hairs are not trapped beneath the surface of the skin. If you are blonde, tinting of brows is sometimes necessary. Remember that you should look for two shades darker than your actual hair color. As far as brunettes are concerned, never tint your brows black as it looks too severe. Choose a color in the brown tones. In closing, remember to not ignore your brows, because a little maintenance goes a long way to improving your looks! How to Tell if a Woman is Not Trustworthy

By Don Diebel Let’s talk about trust in a relationship. Mutual trust is very crucial in establishing a successful relationship. If you get involved with a woman you can’t trust, this can cause some serious problems in your relationship. So, what are some of the warning signs that the woman you’re dating may not be trustworthy? Here’s a list of the major ones: She’s always late for dates and offers no apology or explanation. Or even worse, she makes up lousy excuses. She’s dishonest with you and you catch her telling you lies. You keep asking her for her phone number at home and she refuses to give it to you. You would think that after a few dates, any normal woman that was sincerely interested in you wouldn’t mind you calling her at home. She won’t look you straight in the eye when she talks to you. Whenever you try to make plans with her to meet your family or get together with your friends, she makes up excuses to avoid meeting them. Also, she never brings up the subject of meeting her family or friends. After you’ve been dating awhile she’s hardly ever available. Most of the time you can’t get in touch with her and she offers no explanation. She constantly gossips about other people. Trust me on this one, if you tell her your deepest secrets, she’s going to tell everyone she knows. She’s a very selfish person. So, what do you do if you’re dating someone with all or most of these warning signs? I don’t know about you, but I don’t care to date a woman I can’t trust. It makes me lose respect for her. I’m not advising you to dump every woman who is untrustworthy. I’m just offering you some warning signs so you can make good judgements for avoiding relationships with potential problems that will cause you unhappiness. Know Your Man: The Remote is His

By Maria Moratto “Men are simple things. They can survive a whole weekend with only three things: beer, boxer shorts and batteries for the remote control.” ~ Diana Jordan “Millions of years ago, there was no such thing as the wheel. One day, some primitive Gents were watching their wives drag a dead mastodon to the food-preparation area. It was exhausting work; the Gents were getting tired just watching. Then they noticed some large, smooth, rounded boulders, and they had an idea: They could sit on the boulders and watch! This was the first in a series of breakthroughs that ultimately led to television.” ~ Dave Barry Switching the channels back and forth helps men think about and solve their problems. It also de-stresses them. There is something hypnotic in the motion of clicking and images turning. They are not really paying attention to what is showing; instead, their mind is churning some solution to whichever problem is worrying them at the moment. Have you ever noticed that in most cases, political cartoons invariably depict a man sitting in front of the TV holding the remote while he makes a comment about some current situation? That explains this whole issue, doesnt it? Women have a hard time with men who sit in front of the TV looking lost in space. Just because we might be doing something, it doesnt imply that everybody else should be doing something, especially our spouses. We should be able to understand that there are rituals that are absolutely masculine and stop bothering about them. A Word of Advice: Ladies: When you see your spouse ruminating about something that is obviously worrying him, go fetch the remote and give it to him. He will be forever grateful to you and may even buy you some jewelry. Gents: Say When there is something bothering you, you need someone to talk to; well, I need the remote, so let me be. I will come out of this meditative state soon enough, feeling re-energized. If she keeps complaining say: I missed you too, honey. Now, give me second, will ya? Pulling Your Hair Because There Are More Exotic Makes And Models Vacuums Than Carter Has Pills

By Glen Stevens Are you pulling your hair out because there seems to be more exotic vacuum cleaner models to choose from than carter has liver pills. A vacuum cleaner is one of the most important cleaning tools a home owner can have. It is a device that uses an air pump to suck up dust and other small particles of dirt, usually from carpet. The benefit of a hepa vacuum cleaner is premium options at value prices and hepa vacuum cleaners are essential to allergy sufferers. One aspect of air quality which is largely affected by the filtration efficiency of a vacuum cleaner is that of airborne dust and allergens. A good vacuum cleaner is ideal for the home environmental control of such irritants as molds, pollens, cat and dog dander and dust mite particles. Some Vacuum Cleaners are Self-Diagnosing. If you want to have a clean home, then choosing the right vacuum cleaner is important. A Vacuum cleaner is a labor saving device, but for most people, a vacuum cleaner is pretty uninspiring. However, a Quality Vacuum Cleaner Is Essential For Keeping Your Home Clean And Germ Free. A vacuum cleaner is an absolute must have home appliance these days. The Rainbow Vacuum Cleaner claims to be the vacuum cleaner that doesn’t lose suction. The Thermax water vacuum cleaner is similar in many ways to a fine German sports car. To find out which vacuum cleaner is best, you could test different models that vary widely in cost and design. Remember, the power of a vacuum cleaner is best measured in airwatts (suction power). If you will have to vacuum a hallway or working traffic area, the right vacuum cleaner may be an upright one. Which vacuum cleaner should you buy? The very last thing to consider when purchasing a vacuum cleaner is the brand. The Roomba vacuum cleaner is made and sold by the company iRobot, it actually vacuums like a robot. The vacuum cleaner is one of your best defenses in managing indoor air pollution, according to the Vacuum Cleaner Manufacturers Association. The standard measurement of power on a vacuum cleaner is the power of its motor in Watts (W). Much as the name suggests, a bagless vacuum cleaner is a type of vacuum that does not require a separate collection bag inside. The hepa vacuum cleaner is great for helping to reduce allergens in the floors and air in your home. A reliable vacuum cleaner is better and strongly recommended for libraries “with a special attachment” to remove the “dust from plain or gilded top of every volume”. When you buy one, you want to get a vacuum cleaner that is known for it’s reliability, long life and unique filtration system. Hoover vacuum cleaners are unique with their high suction power and hygienic dust management. Kirby vacuum cleaners are the first brand that a lot of folks think about when they start thinking about a vacuum cleaner. One of the newest ways to categorize vacuums is bagged or bagless. Vacuum cleaners should suck up all the dust in your carpet directly to its bag. Vacuum cleaners are designed to remove dust, dirt and debris from your carpeting and furniture, proponents of bagless vacuum cleaners say they are more powerful because the motor exhaust is not blocked by a thick bag. Some vacuums come in smaller, more portable sizes than upright vacuum cleaners, and some include beater attachments. Early inventions of non electric floor cleaners made home cleaning easier but a new development is the Robotic vacuum cleaners that clean hard floors and carpet without supervision. There are many different types of vacuum cleaners and lots of options and extras to consider, so take your time. Another important fact to know is, Both HEPA and non HEPA vacuum cleaners pass the air flow from the vacuum cleaner tools being used and then into the unit. Many of the leading manufacturers of vacuum cleaners have adopted HEPA as the most convenient type of vacuum cleaner that the consumer wants. A wide range of HEPA-filter vacuum cleaners and HEPA vacuum cleaner bags are now on the market, all of which are likely to be of some help. High-quality vacuum cleaners and vacuum cleaner bags are often recommended to allergic patients as a means of reducing indoor allergen exposure. Perhaps the most important factor in buying a quality vacuum cleaner is whether or not you will find it is easy to find replacement parts and HEPA filters. However, the biggest disadvantage with an vacuum cleaner is its weight, so get a light weight vacuum. For homeowners with a lot of rugs or carpeting, a vacuum cleaner is a necessity. Choosing the best one is an important decision that you may have to make, so be sure to do your research. Cufflinks – To Wear or Not to Wear?

By Arjun Mukherjee A cufflink (also known as cuff-link) is a decorative fastener generally worn by men. It is used to fasten or link two portions of a French Cuff, typically on a dress shirt or blouse. Cufflinks are worn on the dress shirt or blouse especially consisting of a post a short cylindrical portion or chain connecting two discshaped parts, one of which is sized to fit through the button-hole of the cuff, the other which is positioned on the most visible side of the cuff, is wider. A decorative fastener as it is, one must wear cufflinks keeping with the mood of the occasion or the tone of the event. Hematite Cuff Links may be worn to the most formal occasion. Paua Shell Cuff Links may suit a more festive occasion and daily wear. One can also wear cufflinks and studs with a shirt front with double buttonholes for the studs. One must keep in mind that appropriate attire is usually not as rigid as a uniform, and there are many opportunities for personal expression. Plus, looking good with always fashionable cufflinks/gem cufflinks means one is more likely to enjoy the occasion. Hence the simple reason behind wearing cufflinks would not only be to look good but also to feel good which is naturally enhanced with a smart and decent sense of dressing. How to wear Cufflinks In order to wear a cufflink or rather link a cuff with a cufflink , you have to close the swivel bar and insert the cufflink through the holes from the outside. Next you have to open the swivel bar to finally secure the cuff. The process is easy enough for anyone to learn at one try.
